Chris Miles MBE spent 35 years in education, as a primary teacher, as a Depute Head in a Children’s Centre, and for twenty years as the Head teacher of a flagship nursery school.
She then spent eight years as the Pre School Education Coordinator in Fife Education Services, during which time she was responsible for driving forward the Nature Kindergarten initiative which led to most of Fife’s 140 providers ensuring that the children were out in woodland or foreshore every week as part of their curriculum.
Chris continues a passionate commitment to quality for children through delivering training, speaking at seminars and conferences and supporting schools on a freelance basis, and through her involvement with the Child’s Curriculum Group. In 2011 she was awarded an MBE for Services to Education and Young People.
